River Birch Bonsai Tree, botanical name Betula nigra, belongs to Betulaceae family. Native to America, this tree is very hardy and should be kept outdoors. It is mainly grown for its ornamental pinkish-white exfoliating bark. The leaves are alternate, oval, with saw shaped margin and veins. Flowers are catkins. Very durable tree that is easy to grow and maintain.
